Our Mission Statement
Our mission statement combines our desire for great friendship in Christ with God's call to share that love with the world.
Giving to others is a wonderful thing. We find ourselves fulfilled in those acts. Church of the Cross can help you find your ministry. We seek to have every member active and in ministry. ![]()
Helping God's Children
In the United Methodist Church, we are the Body of Christ connected together. It begins at the local and regional level and moves into national and international levels. The United Methodist Church continues to fulfill John Wesley's adage to "Do all the good you can, in all the places you can, to all the people you can." As a connectional church, we can come together to do greater work than any one church could possibly do on their own. By working together we can feed the hungry, educate future leaders, house the homeless and so much more. This connectional system is one way that Church of the Cross can join other United Methodist churches in the Kansas West Conference and the world to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ.
Conference Apportionments
COC's Mission & Ministries (M & M's) obligation, frequently called apportionments, join us into this vital web of relationships that seeks to do God's work. It is our opportunity to give to the conference to ensure funding for ministries locally and throughout the world.
