Our Mission is to provide a safe environment where children can grow mentally, physically, and spiritually.
Discovery Club is an after school enrichment ministry for children Kindergarten through 6th grade. It is held Thursdays from 3:15 - 5:00 PM, September through April. Through the course of the two hours, the children go to four different learning zones:

What Now?
Over the past seven or eight years Discovery Club has provided elementary school children with a positive and safe place to have fun and develop a relationship with Jesus Christ. With the closing of Hageman Elementary, the new school schedules, and bus drop-off times the Children's Council decided to suspend Discovery Club for the fall and possibly the spring semester.
The council is in the very early planning stages, but we are considering a program that would emphasize tutoring, homework assistance, and other learning opportunities. In the past Discovery Club offered crafts, computer games, cooking, and other activities, but the new school schedule has reduced the amount of time we have for the program. Discovery Club may take on a new look, but it can still provide a meaningful experience for the children in our neighborhood.
